Porvoo is the second oldest city in Finland, founded nearly 800 years ago, and best known for its unique Old Town district, high quality restaurants and charming cafés. Nuuksio, spectacular wilderness area right next to Helsinki and it is in many ways one of Finland’s most important nature sites. In the forests and gorges of Nuuksio you can’t get enough of nature. People have been in Nuuksio for thousands of years as the ancient rock paintings, like the one shaped like an elk by the lake Pitkäjärvi, let us understand.

Day 1 | Arrival in Helsinki (D)
Flight/cruise on own arrangements. Private transfer to the Helsinki centered located hotel Scandic Grand Central Helsinki or similar, check-in. Welcome dinner and overnight.
Day 2 | Helsinki city tour & Sauna experience (B)
Private guided Helsinki City tour by bus, 3h.
Learn about the legacy from the Swedish and Russian periods of rule and marvel at the eclectic mix of architecture in a city dotted at every turn with beautiful parks and stunning Baltic Sea shoreline. Main attractions: Historical Senate Square, – Helsinki Lutheran (external visit) and Uspensky Orthodox Cathedrals Market Square, Esplanade Park, Central Railway Station, designed by Architect Eliel Saarinen, the unique Rock Church embedded inside a granite rock (subject to availability) Oodi Public Library and Sibelius Park and Monument.
In the afternoon/evening Löyly sauna experience 2h
Löyly is a public sauna and restaurant complex in Hernesaari district on the southern tip of Helsinki. The complex includes a traditional Finnish smoke sauna and two other wood-heated saunas, a year-round terrace and a restaurant. The saunas offer direct access to the outdoor seating area and the sea, where it is possible to enjoy a refreshing swim, all year round. There are separate changing rooms and shower facilities for men and women but as the saunas and other public areas are mixed, it means that customers are respectfully asked to always wear swimming costumes. Sauna is not Private. Included 2-hours sauna, towel, peflet, shampoo and shower soap and private return transfers from/to hotel.
Day 3 | Half day tour to Porvoo old town (B/L)
Half day tour to Old Wooden Town of Porvoo – Join this guided half-day tour from Helsinki to the idyllic town of Porvoo with its well-preserved wooden houses and picturesque cobble-stoned streets. The city’s town plan is from the Middle Ages, the low small houses, picturesque yards and narrow streets form a historically unique wooden town milieu. The symbols of Porvoo – the red warehouses on the riverbanks – tell the story of seafaring and trading. Guided half-day tour by bus begins and ends in Helsinki city center. Porvoo is located 50 km (31 miles) away from Helsinki. The tour includes private bus with a guide, a guided walk in Porvoo during which you will get familiar with the Old Town of Porvoo and the beautiful medieval cathedral. There will be some free time for a cup of coffee and a walk in the old town with delightful shops and craftsmen’s workshops. Lunch included at the local restaurant.
Day 4 | Nuuksio National Park (B/L)
On this guided half day (appr. 5 hours) bus tour from Helsinki to Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo) we invite you to discover the Finnish nature with its lakes and forests! The tour includes a guided walk in the forest of the National Park with an English-speaking guide. Nuuksio is one of the top nature attractions in Finland where you can experience the Finnish nature and the peaceful wilderness. In the National Park live dozens of endangered or near-threatened animals, plants and fungi species. In Nuuksio, you can also visit Finnish Nature Centre Haltia, the exhibitions in Haltia let you explore all of Finland’s unique nature under one roof. In Haltia you also find a restaurant and café. Lunch included.
Day 4 | Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Private transfer to the Helsinki Airport/harbor.
